well yes... There is no snooker coaching in Serbia. And i want to play really good. I am 40-50 break player. without coaching. So I think that he can help me a lot to improve my game even further... I am thinking to go on farm for 10 days... In the end of March..

I would go to the Dell's farm. Have been to the Academy 4 years ago when it was based near London. The only benefit was to watch the pro's. in terms of coaching, nothing special and feels like they have this General "formulas" for non pro's which is on every snooker book almost without any personal one to one coaching.
At your level (40-50 break) the coaching should be individual to your style of play.

I don't think £40 an hour is expensive when you think how much it could enhance the pleasure you get from the game you love.

The way I see it is this, if you have decent ability and a decent cue, what will improve your game more, ten hours with a top coach or a £400 cue?

I used to work in the golf industry and I regularly saw guys with basic flaws in their techniques spend hundreds if not thousands of pounds on new clubs to help their games when the problems were not with their equipment.

great post jb134, you made a very good point of people buying top quality equipment and expecting an improvement, IMHO, coaching is an experience to raise your game which no cue could. :snooker:

Couldn't agree more, provided the coach really does know his stuff, as there are a lot of charlatans out there who're just waiting to take your money and give you sweet Fanny Adams in return!

I am playing basketball for 13 years now. And because of that I know how important is to have great INDIVIDUAL coach to show you all mistakes that you have and to help you correct them. When you have great coach,some talent and when you have big desire to become great player you have every chance to become everything that you want. And from experience I can say that 40 pounds per hour is not expensive. I used to pay 70-80 pounds for some great basketball coaches. And 500 pounds for 7 days of top coaching every day ,with accommodation,food and unlimited time for practice... Do you really think that that is expensive? From my point of view it is a bargain,regarding what you get and what benefits you can get from it.
