  • Whats it all about?

Sorry if its been asked before but what does 1/4 ball ,1/2 ball, 3/4 ball, full ball, all mean?

Ive been told by a workmate that you only hit the object ball with the cueball at these points but surely thats not right, I just dont get it, I think i have started to listen to things that will take my concentration away from simply potting the ball.....Im sure i wasnt this confused before

Ha ha ive been on here most of the night because Thursday is snooker with my lad night and he has come home from school full of a cold and not fit to go, so im climbing the walls with boredom. I should have gone down by myself but felt a bit guilty, and i dont mind during the day cos the club is empty but evenings are packed and i would look like a billy no mates

    Forget all that mate!

You already know how to pot balls. Stick with what you are doing.

Just observe where the ball goes when you miss. Then you will start saying to yourself, "I always miss those cuts near the cushion too thick...." (for example.) Then you can start adjusting your aim accordingly for these shots.

That's all there is to it.

Have a look on youtube "Steve Davis Champions Way" he explains it so well that even I managed to understand it!
