  • Had a break..

Recently, ive had a 4 day break from playnig 4 hours a day, 4 days a week. I got back on the table last night for a few hour & played some of my best snooker, which suprised me cos i was expecting to play awful, and not cue straight at all.

I put it down to concentration? I concentrated so hard on every shot cos i was expecting to miss. At the end of the night, I knocked in a 38 and was pleased

Could it have been concentration that made me play better?

It sounds as if you were concentrating yeah mate and quite often a break of 1-5 days can do you good. What concerns me though is why you THOUGHT youd play awful. In 4 days you wont forget everything. Its a healthy break away from the game. Now 4 months you might struggle initially.

Thats good. I always put pressure on myself when playing and it helps me more than it hinders me. Just remember to always enjoy your game as enjoying it will always lead to you playing better. And a break for a couple of days when it doesnt seem "fresh" is a good thing.

I find that if you haven't played for a while, you concentrate on the fundamentals and play better.

Exactly. You concentrate that bit harder.

Snooker, waste of energy, waste of time, waste of money, when not playing well.

Absolutely sick of this game for me today .

Agreed on that break. I was on a 4 days break and yesterday I could concentrate a lot on my cue action. Feels great
