After looking at the situation of the balls on the table and deciding to play safe, or pot with screw, follow, etc.. what is the first step in aiming ?
Is there any fault or short coming in the following method:
1. first going and standing behind the cue ball in a general direction towards the object ball without visualizing for the line of aim or anything else
2. looking at the pocket and the object ball's contact point from memory or ghost ball theory.
3. after finding the contact point, stepping left or right slightly or more, or in the same position while maintaining focus at contact point and visualizing both the contact point and cue ball so the head/body comes behind the line of aim.
4. Getting down while focusing on the these :- cue direction towards the contact point, and landing the bridge hand in the correct place so that cue is pointing in the correct line of aim.
