  • top tip of the day

one i was given a few days ago, tried it tonight and boy did it work!!!

(i have posted this tip in another thread but felt it i worthy of its own....)

put two small lapel badges on your shirt above your cue very very slightly over the width of your cue. if you are striking across the cue ball, then your cue will hit one of the badges, then you can learn to compensate this with your action and get yourself cueing straight between them.

i tried it tonight and after two frames of indifferent play, the third frame i annihalated my highest break went from 49 to 82

aye but every one will want black balls....

you know the type badges i am on about around 15mm across not obtrusive to hang yor shirt over the cue, but there so you can feel it against them if you are moving across it...

Yeah I know what you mean now... can't really see it helping but I might try it. I often find even a logo from t-shirts infringes sometimes on the shot. I was once playing a few frames and ended up ripping off the 'C' and 'A' on a Caterpillar T-shirt I had. lol

yeah have had that with t shirts myself but..

with this, put a badge either side of your cue a couple of mm off it, if you brush either badge you know you will cue across the ball and not hit it true
