before the stance?

I been wondering what do the player should do before approaching the ball ? lets assume he already planned the position and where to hit ...

but does the player have to put his eyes on the object ball till he do his stance to maintain the right angle to pot?

umm 1-you mean like i concentrate on object ball ( the area where i supposed to hit) ? while walking?

or 2- i actually just go to cue ball and i will subconciously go for the correct angle ( after making sure when im in stance of course) ?

I tend to visualise the shot from behind as im going down into the stance, look at the cue ball, check the object ball, look where i am cueing then look at the object ball as i strike
