  • Professional Coaching

I'm considering having a few hours professional coaching from Nigel Bond after Christmas. I'm just curious of what to expect benefits wise? I'm 18 and I play in the North East Derbyshire leagues. Now i know turning professional is a little optimistic but after a few coaching sessions from Nigel, I'd like to think i could become one of the leagues top players?

I've explained that potting is not a problem and that i'd like help on breakbuilding and technique. I'm currently making 30-40 breaks in matches and practice, so what could i expect to see after a few sessions?

    Thank you.

As long as you can afford it, I would do it. I was coached by Frank Callan when I was around 20 and it was money well spent. If Nigel is a good coach, take a pen and paper with you so you can write down as much info as you can so you can remember. Frank taught me so much in every 2 hour session, my head was buzzing with info when I left so i had to get it down on paper before I forgot it.

    Go for it !

Great, how did it go, what did he teach/coach you? Did your game improve?

I'm definately gona go for it after christmas, new years resolution to consistently make high breaks and become one of the leagues dominant players

Also, I'm using a fairly cheap cue at the moment, (have been using it for years) will that affect the coaching i'l be given or shouldn't it matter? I'm confident with it and i play well soo..
