  • Dings Coach?

Does anyone know who coaches Ding. I know that Garry Bauldrey used to manage him etc but wondered if he had someone else helping with the snooker side of things. As he is based at the academy is he looked after by the coaches there and so does he share the same coach as liang wembo and the other residents?

I think Chris Henry has some involvement with his and I also think Terry Griffiths has been coaching him too.

I believe he had a coach in China, who is/was also the coach of Liang and many other top players.
This Chinese coach is the one Murphy complained of offering Ding advice during the mid-session in the bathroom.

I don't think so... Shouldn't be IMO. At least no-one should be wasting anyone's time complaining about that.

I'm not sure if you are right..because Cai jian zhong indeed had been Ding's coach for a few years, while ding was plunging in his gloomy career.Surely we can say Cai "was" his coach,

Ding's real coach is Wu Wenzhong, who operates a snooker club in Guangzhou City,China. He also was Ding's coach several years ago when Ding got three titles in rankings. After then,Wu wenzhong emigrated to USA,but came back to china few years later due to his devotion of snooker. Now Wu wenzhong is also Liangwenbo and some other top-notch player's coach in china. He is the most prestigious coach and being called "Uncle Zhong" .

I agree with the posters that have said that Ding's main weakness seemed to be with his attitude, rather than his snooker abilities. It looked like he needed some help with his mental strength during the period he was struggling (dont we all lol). From what I can gather people like Terry Griffiths and Del Hill are not only great coaches but they become friends and offer great mental/emotional support to the players as well.

I just hope Ding has got someone like that.
