Why are people criticising this younster for asking advice about his game. I understand the point people are making about coaching but no need to go for the jugular.
I think your seeking advice from all avenues is commendable, it shows your passion to learn. Some of the people on this forum are pretty good players(some ex-professionals) who could point you in the right direction.
Good on you.
Practice, practice and again practice. You know what they say about luck, it is learning under controlled knowledge(LUCK). Keep up the coaching, maybe try another coach aswell to get a different angle.Breaks 2010- 47, 40, 56, 53, 47, 45, 46

Good luck and practice. I've seen you play and you seem to have talent. Practice hard and concentrate on your strengths and abilities and the weaknesses will be ironed out with time and the right training.

I got two questions really
first of all why does this happen in picture 1, i often see it happening in my videos and im wondering is it just bad habit or is something in my technique causing this.
In picture 2 i was wondering is my bridge hand ok like this? my thumb is all the way up to my knuckle and im wondering would it be a better V if i had it lower like on the picture on the right or is it ok as it is.
thanks

Malachi,
I really think adding a definite pause as others have mentioned will help your game.
On Steve Davis's Blog, he recommends doing this by watching your shaft or tip on the backstroke before you transition your eyes to BOB or the point of contact. In addition to creating a natural pause, this will also allow you to make sure that you are pulling back straight.
Good Luck with your game.

For those across the pond that care, I think Lewis will pulverize Jenson!

If you like filming yourself why dont you try cueing without a white purposely trying to keep the cueing elbow so that it follows through straight. It will feel weird and the grip will finish in a different position to usual. Then after each attempt you can watch it on the camera to check if it is straightening up with each go. Eventually you will probably get one which goes through straightand looks 'correct'. Then you need to take a note of where you finished on your chest so that you can repeat this. You will need to do all this step by step and when you first do it you will probably find that the grip may strike the chest and the elbow may go in a straight line but then you start cueing offline. This is why you really need to speak to your coach about this one as changing one aspect can affect another. Sometimes a technique may not look right but the cue goes through dead straight everytime and thats what matters.coaching is not just for the pros

-Having a straight bridge arm
-not having my cue tight against the chest which caused a crooked follow through
-having my cueing arm on the parelel of the cue
having my bridge hand one hand away from the cue
-having a front pause and trying (yes currently trying it is actually hard to totally implement it into my game) a back pause
I am working on these things and these videos are for my progess and to see if maybe i have slipped back into doing thing wrong for example not having my back pause on every shot which was told to me which i found useful. so please dont make out that i dont work on a lot.
thanks
