Its a bit tricky to move on to the next frame cueman in a best of 3 format after you've just had a kick on frame ball in TWO consecutive frames. A 2-0 victory turned into a 2-0 defeat in the blink of an eye. The object ball was not over-powered and the white cleaned before both shots. Its hard to be philisophical and maintain a good temperament after that.

I am, however a firm believer that luck evens out over longer duration matches and over the course of any players playing life. IMO the problem with amateur players bemoaning bad luck is that in actual fact their perceived bad luck is actually bad play. For example losing the white in off, no matter off how many cushions is bad play or the half ball cue ball into the pack without checking a plant is on is bad play.

I used to be terrible for moaning about bad luck. Now if I have a 'bad run of the ball' I say to myself in all honesty that was probably a bad shot. If in practive i'll replay it. It's different matter when my opponent flukes one off about 26 cushions though!
