All the advice given here is correct for you. If you play regularly and you have a good technique then you should be making 75+ breaks, but only if you play regularly (say 3 times a week for 4 hours) and you are paying attention to what you're doing plus getting some solitary practice.
The best advice for you is to go see a good coach. If you post which area you're in there will be someone on here who can recommend a good coach and in fact there are good coaches who are members and post here, snooker dad being one of them, coach gavin another.
As Milton Keynes is fairly central I can recommend Nic Barrow who is based there but he isn't cheap however he is excellent and is my coach in fact.
