  • Changed cueing action but question re breathing

Have been thinking about going "back to basics" now for a while and came across a couple of Terry Griffiths vids on YouTube.

Basically I've changed my bridge (mine was too flat), my eye focus and fethering (mine was inconsistant) and have seen a massive improvement over the last 2 weeks or so.

I've always been pretty focused when playing ie walking to the cue-ball from a certain way so I can see the potting/safety angle, observing what is around object ball and where I'm leaving the white but I've always gone into shots a bit rushed and never thinking I can get a decent (35+) break.

I am now fethering 4 times on each shot, looking at both cue/object ball before striking and have got a much more arced and rigid bridge hand.

My long potting has improved and I'm pushing through the ball more rather than stabbing at it. I'm not the worlds best player and have had a couple of 47 breaks in the last few years but now I feel much more confident when attacking the table and slapped in a nice 30 and a 27 last night, with many comments saying how much I'd improved in the last few weeks.

Only thing Im a bit lost with is my breathing, I tend to hold my breath when I'm on my last 2 fethers and when I strike the cue ball. Does anyone have any hints or tips about breathing best practices ?

I breathe through my mouth more than my nose too which doesnt help things either.
It's not what you pot...it's what you leave.
