Works for me too Thinsy... a Must Do Drill!
I also like to mix it up for a change and find this drill a bit more challenging than the straight
lineup to get desired cueball shape with more opportunity to use the cushions for position.
The "working space" being enclosed and smaller requires more accurate tolerances on weight control.
Even slightly off draw, stun or roll can result in having to practice awkward cueing over top of a ball or
taking on more challenging side pocket pots. This is a good thing as these are shots we seldom practice.
