    Can someone explain to me the " hitting with the elbow" bit at 0:43-0:48?

    I'm sure he means that that is the moving part of the arm, and nothing else.

    No shoulder, no wrist just the elbow movement!

      i think he meant that one should visualise the elbow acting as a hinge / pendulum when delivering the backswing and follow-through; generates a more positive strike.

      not sure about no wrist movement, brian... i thought there should be wrist motion else you would be lifting the cue butt when pulling back and snatching at the cue when following through...

        He means dropping the arm on the follow through. I can say this 100% as I spoke to Del Hill about it when I was at the snooker farm.
