  • Eye flicking back between Cue and Object balls during sighting

Hi guys, Got to say it's great to stumble accross a cuesport forum with so many knowledgable people

Ok got a question (gonna be the first of many for me)

It's something i've never paid attention to before

When your down on the shot sighting that everything looks right, your eyes dart back and forth between the cueball and object ball, Now before you actually pull the trigger on the shot (move the cue forward), your eyes should be on the object ball right and never on the cueball ?

    Cheers

    Correct!

    Check out these vids:

Specifically the 2nd to last one, the last 20-30 secs and the last video. Nic talks about where the eyes are, and how long they are where they are on a shot.

i normally sight the ball...get down on the shot whilst looking at the object ball and visioning the potting angle...get myself comfortable, flick my eyes to the cueball, short feather a couple of times where i want to hit the white, then after that i do a couple of long feathers always looking at the part of the object ball, on the final backswing i have a half second to a second pause before i push the cue through all the way to my chest, and make sure i try to do that everytime!

unfortuantely consistency is not my strong point
what a frustrating, yet addictive game this is....
