Could you advise me on who would be very good to learn snooker from. This would be either by book or video. Any recommendations would be appreciated.

I am fairly decent but would really like to improve.

    Thanks:snooker:

Frank Callans snooker clinic is a great book to learn from.
It is quite pricey though(i paid about £30 for a second hand copy a year ago on ebay)

You may be better off having a coaching lesson?

Have a look at PJ Nolans site, 147academy.com. Just discovered it a few days ago and think it's brilliant. Loads of practice routines and video footage.

It's nice to have this sort of stuff to hand, but you still can't beat going to see a coach.

Thanks jarcher. Good site that, never seen it before. Lots of good routines.

Nic Barrow's SnookerGym series is considered to be very good.
Oh, and that's a bad miss.

                Hi there,
I thought that I could improve myself by myself from books, videos and God knows what. I am not saying they didn't help, but it was until I paid for a coaching session that my game really moved forward. It was a real eye opener. That is what I would recommend. And if you're from Sussex go only to Frank Sandell http://www.franksandellcuesport.co.uk/. I'll give myself few months' practice before I go to sponge up some more wisdom from Frank
