  • OK, let's not get into a slanging match, but anyone who had anything to do with Alex Higgins knows he was money, money, money. He was famous for charging fans for his autograph. He was largely responsible for the boom in snooker and at the time was mesmerising to watch, but the quality of his play was vastly inferior to the best of today. His famous 69 clearance is incredible with fantastic pots throughout, but only because he was out of position so often. No current player would ever lose the white as often in such a short break.

Phelps never wore a suit, just speedo's.

The balls are much lighter today, I agree, but as both teams use the same ball your non-argument is academic.

George Best is undoubtedly one of the best players of all time. I never dissed his ability, just your statement that he was never coached, which I still think is naive of you to believe, but believe whatever you like, as it's quite obvious there's no argument that's ever going to change your mind.
I often use large words I don't really understand in an attempt to appear more photosynthesis.
