You could try getting in touch with Derek Hearns. If you stay in Aberdeen area you will of heard of him. Serial winner in all local comps. Don't think he has any coaching certs but has helped alot of locals.

As monsoon mentioned in his post Derek Hearns is worth a shout. The only other certified coach is Clive Marsh who plays for one of the Rileys teams and plays out of the new Shooters club. He is certified by the Welsh association i believe.

Irfeen75 If you're in Edinburgh Craig MacGilivary at The Shandon in Slateford gives lessons. You'd probably need to give him some notice.

Well done in getting to Final of interclubs. A bit unlucky in the end of 1st session I believe. I'm still offshore but back tomorrow.

Has Ryan spoken to you about next season ? Fancy joining a good bunch of lads at RUA?

I have never met Clive and did'nt know he was a registered coach.

I don't have his mobile number but if you ring the Locarno club on 0131:337:3034 they will probably have it. If you don't get any luck get back to me. I'll be in the club on Sunday and will be able to get you a number. The only other guy in Edinburgh is Chris Small but I don't know if he still coaches. You'll probably know that he retired from playing due to a serious back complaint. Real shame as he was a good guy despite the fact he was a Hibee!! lol

George? Is that you? Just checking things are working since the upgrade. I was off-line for a while. We (Shandon) played our EICA semi-final against The AllStars on Thursday and drew 4-4. I drew 1-1 but was gutted. I lost frame II on a re-spotted black. Had THREE goes at the re-spot and missed them all!! Really bad night for me. I see your new team got through against Cuemasters. Yes, receiving you loud and clear . Good result against The All Stars despite the bad luck in your case (it must have been all the practice you had in the afternoon !) I enjoyed the games , they were evenly matched although I'll need to get my revenge next time . I have a match to play this afternoon , so hopefully the lessons will prove worthwhile .
