I heard hendry looks at the pocket when striking the cueball, is this correct?? If so would you recommend doing it??

No he most certainly does not and I would not recommend it .
He is one of the very few players who does glance towards the pocket whilst addressing the shot, momentarily glancing between the cue ball, object ball and pocket -prior to his final backswing and delivery of the cue- at which point his eyes are fixed upon the object ball.
Most players , once they have sighted the shot and got into stance only glance bewteen cue ball and object ball.
You can check mr hendry's cue action out out via various clips on you tube.
Your eyes should always be on the object ball as the cue is delivered.

Hendry looks at the pocket when feathering and this can be seen on tv. However he is unusual in this and his eyes tend to be on the object ball later on. It is interesting that I have seen slow motion of hendry and when he plays a long pot his eyes are on the cue ball.coaching is not just for the pros
