Not sure if I will ever make it out west unless someone holds a big tournament out there or something or unless I get a coaching seminar to give to certify some master coaches.

I know it's not too close but there is a Master Coach in Victoria, Dennett Netterville, who I trained recently and he is coaching now.

I imagine this will be my last update for this string as I leave for Britain on Monday.

I still have some slots left in case anyone would like some one-on-one coaching at the Southwest Snooker Academy in Gloucester. The dates where there is at least a 2hr slot open are April 14th, 15th, 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd and 23rd.

If anyone is on the fence about getting coaching and can't decide I thought I would do my bit to set minds at ease by letting you all know what a great time I had on the 16th.

I ended up having 3 hours coaching, but paid for a full day of table time which gave me ample time to practice the things we were working on. Terry helped me realise that there aren't any major flaws in my cue action, and showed me that I could in fact screw the ball back a fair distance - something I have been struggling with. I have a few minor points to work on and keep in mind, plus a few simple exercises to test myself with and practice the various points of technique which need adjustment or just consistency.

The South West Snooker Academy is an amazing venue, the equipment is first class and the people I met were friendly and helpful. I even met and had lunch with Dominic Dale

If you're worried about cost then book 2-3 hours with Terry (£40-60) and 1/2 a day of table time (£20) for solo practice afterwards, also contact the academy about cheaper accommodation as there are some options, aside from the Holiday Inn Express over the road (which cost me £62 for a night).

There was no opera, if that's what you're thinking. Apparently they wouldn't let him use an opera for his entrance music.. seems a bit draconian to me, it's only a minute or two ffs.

Great to go to the academy and see terry on thursday, and got too play a frame with our resident coach before i left.

And too play on them star tables was amazing...

Loved the academy, it's a big asset for the snooker world indeed. The best snooker facility the country has ever had and a lot of thought and work has gone into make the academy what it is. I take my hat off too Paul mount and everyone who has worked as hard as they have done to get the academy too the standard it is... It is top notch fairplay.

Never realised that paul mount is welsh too...

Awesome venue and great news about the qualifiers and ptc's for next season, well deserved...

Hope to get back too the academy very soon. I havn't been to play on a regular club table since playing on the stars, Ahhh, club tables... Their gonna be great after playing at the academy eh...lol..





I won't mention the black i missed to beat terry...D'oh....
