maybe you sold some to the infamous ebay knobber?

I'd buy the Skoda and club, then charge the guy with the Aston 200 an hour for coaching

Supply will always equal demand if the cost is right he must be getting the punters in because they demand it. Reguardless if it is fair or not.

You're too busy trying to discredit me.
When did this forum become like youtube?
Seriously guys if you want to dig at each other do it over the message system. I for one don't want to read pages of squabble followed by one on topic post.

On topic£120 is not expensive for a coach of his quality IMO you need to put it into perspective with other sports and other coaches - teachers that have built such a reputation. Plus it's like the whole footballer wage thing, supply and demand rules the world.
Forget it, Donny, you're out of your element

and here's a cute llittle tip - use those marks for rest shots... it works a treat - even the great man hadn't thought of it!

it makes you much more consistent with the rest and you'll soon find you can play a wider range of shots with the rest than before.
Hmm......would this not make a players action either too long in the balls or too short on long shots?

Did the long potting of Hendry and Williams not suffer after coaching with Terry?

Do you normally quote the defence rather than the attack when pointing out dissatisfaction Jon? Believe me, the last thing I come here for is to argue, but I'll defend myself if attacked bud.

It's crazy coaching to mark a cue. The distance changes depending on the shot. If you need to deep screw you move closer so as to enable great follow through, which in turn really spins the white.
The same applies if you want to open the pack off the black, or play with extreme follow through using top spin. My cue is my little baby. If he drew on it I would invent the Terry Griffiths lollipop.

Not trying to discredit you. My point was people value different things differently. What's a rip off to one person might be a bargain to another.

In one thread you're talking about charging over the odds for something and trying to justify it, in another you're saying what a rip off something is and trying to discredit a well respected coach.

                    Ease up on the hypocrisy.

There you go again. I'm going to stop being nice soon. Get it into your head, that there is a difference between selling an antique tip for £4, not counting my overheads, or cost price, and charging £120 per hour, for coaching. I was selling it cheap to members. You just don't get it. On Ebay they were £7 each. OK m8?

About 10 years ago - i actually tried holding the cue in the same place - in the balls i was making hundred breaks - but from 6 foot away or more it was useless, and prior to this my long game was my strong point!

In my opinion - if someone is just starting out etc - then a short action will improve them, but possibly hinder them in the long run. I found i couldnt generate power of fluency with it

                          OK "mate"!

I honestly couldn't give a cr*p about your tips and what their "true" value is. you're missing the point and trying to pick a fight with me.

My opinion is that you were being hypocritical. You'll never change that opinion. Stop trying.

                          Now where's that block button........

No, I'm not mate. I've just had quite a battering this afternoon from total no marks, and you just posted that at the wrong time.

No offense meant, and all the best. You'll not need to block me ass I decided to give it a miss long before you even thought about it.

                                aye...calm down, calm down
By the way...seeing as its getting quite heated, Jonplayer I have a massive bone to pick with you. I don't believe that your highest match break is as high as you say it is...PROVE IT! We all need to be truthful otherwise it descends into farce.
