Don't see the point you trying too make here..
You said marco hasn't let terry mess with his cueing, and i simply pointed out that he has...
I was'nt really aware of terry nearly ruining marks career as you said, so can't really comment or have an opinion on that 1 soz bud...

Not sure if this thread is still active bt for what its worth ...
I have taken my son to both Terry and Del Hil! The coaching was with Wayne Griffiths who is obviously less expensive than Terry but Wayne was fantastic, no time wasting and set my son up from an early age with a stance which everyone comments on. Had three sessions and the coaching was in the match room which is impressive itself with 100 seats! Worth a visit. Wayne produced typed notes which were bespoke and detailed. Thanks Wayne! Del is a star! His coaching technique is awesome and he relates perfectly and has huge passion and a genuine love for sharing is knowledge and seeing the results happen there and then. It depends on who you are but Del at £50 per hour for 2 or three hours will transform your game for life. Just stop eating Big Macs and save up for a session on Del's snooker Farm. Del for me boys and girls!

£120 an hour does sound expensive - until you consider that a BMW owner pays that much for labour when having his car serviced at a main dealer. All a BMW mechanic does is plug in a computer and it tells him what parts to change! I know who I'd rather pay it to :-)sigpic

As a coach who uses software to look at a player's technique I can tell you it definitely helps to be able to slow down the cue action to frame-by-frame and you can really see what's going on and work to correct it by finding the basic or root problem. It's very tough for a coach to see some problems when just watching a player.
I don't believe it's necessary to have an expensive sports software analysis sustem although it is helpful to have adecent one what will let you do lines and also to do overlay using other players, but this type of software if VERY expensive.

Hi everyone.
Having been searching for information regarding Snooker, I came across Terry's website. Out of curiosity I decided to send an e-mail asking for tips to start out in Snooker, thinking nothing of it, I added send my regards to Terry. To my suprise I got a phone call personally from Terry. He seemed really nice. Asked me what progress if any I had made in the game, I told him I was a beginner and he told me how he had started out. He gave me his mobile number and said I could call him should I need any encouragement or advice. The price does appear expensive, but I think it would be a once in a lifetime thing. I told him I was going to find a local coach and start on the right foot, looking to start playing competatively locally. He encouraged me to call him should I have any issues and he would do his upmost to help me over the phone. Top guy and most defenitely at some point will visit Terry. just for the experiance. Perhaps I can convince my Girlfriend to buy me a birthday present.
