    Thanks DeanH.

Think main thing was mentioned. Coach needs to know what they are talking about but you also need to feel very relaxed with them. I would call a few and see what they say so you can get a feeling of what they are like. Del, Wayne Griffiths, Nic Barrow and Frank Adamson are all ones I can recommend aprt from myself obviously.
coaching is not just for the pros

Well I'd have to say Nic Barrow I had some coaching from him not so long ago, and it was well worth it!!

Seems you feel like me about coaching, Inoffthered. If I had been younger, would certainly and gone for a shillings worth with Del. He is no more than 10 miles from me.
Dwot, after seeing you play at Clay Cross, I am surprised that you have not made a 50 yet.

Barry Stark based in Nottingham is brilliant - especially regarding cue-action and stance and that all important consistency! He's World Snooker qualified and currently coaches Mark Joyce, Matt Couch and recently Jimmy White to name a few.

I heard Nigel Bond is a good coach, £30.00 ph too.

I wouldn't see Nic Burrows, have seen some video's and I'm personally not keen on his methods, but yes he is a good coach, I've heard first hand.

I've been to see Nigel and it deffo helped my game, he's only £25 ph........

However, if he's getting coached from Del is it worth me paying an extra £25 ph to go and see Del?????????

DWOT, depends on what standard you want to achieve. What is your aim, consistent 40-50's ?..

I'd be well happy with that, to be honest I want to get to the stage where all these fantastic long pots I keep sinking actually count for something, I want to make a century, that's my goal!

p.s. the book arrived earlier, will get stuck into that over the weekend.

Yep, nothing more frustrating when you pot a hard shot then later miss a sitter. The pot becomes totally irrelevant.

                      Happy reading, DWOT.
