  • Cue ball go to the left

    HI Terry;

    Practicing potting the blue from 2 feet away I notice that when potting from the yellow side the cue ball always go to the left after hitting the blue, but the blue goes clean into the top pocket. Doing the same from the other 3 corners the white follows the blue in staright line. Only from the yellow side I pot the blue centre pocket but the white goes to the left. I can't pin point what is wrong because I don't miss the pots from the yellow side.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    unintentional right hand side on the white ball
    loads of reasons can be the cause of this problem

    try doing up and down the spots with the cue ball with some pace so the cue ball hits the top cushion atleast 2 times and note if ur white always comes back to the right side or not

      HUFRO:

      I have no idea why you would have problems from just one spot on the table and I can't think of any reason except you must be cueing right to left just from that spot. Perhaps it's because your set-up is different with the rail in the way but that doesn't explain why it doesn't happen from the other end under the same conditions.

      Perhaps you have too small of a sample and should try more pots from the yellow side and see if the results are consistent?
