My sighting of the cueball

well when i started playing a few years back i was told that i should cue under my dominant eye so ever since i been cueing pretty much under my left eye im quite an ok player i can knock in 40/50 breaks or maybe more but i have been told that sometimes because of this im 'sighting the ball' wrong i personally agree with this also i think because of where my cue is that im not seeing the line correctly and this causes me to miss some shots. if i have been brought up on the game doing this would it be simple to start putting the cue in the middle of my chin or should i just play with what ive naturally been playing with the last few years?

i have the same problem but right eyed Put a blue on the spot and the vwhite by the yellow spot and line up a straight pot . Try to follow through in off and see if you cue straight with cue in center or under dominant eye .

I have been cueing slightly under my right eye but recently doing this found out that i cue much straighter in the center .

It just feels strange at the moment .

Cueing to one side of the chin or the other more importantly forces changes in the set-up which have to balance that off.

My recommendation is to try hotpot's idea but also try turning your head slightly but still keeping the cue in the centre of the chin. Try all 3 ways and see which works best for you and then stick with it as you're still young enough that you will adapt to anything new quickly

Yes I agree with Terry on this one. I have a dominant right eye but cue in the middle of the chin. I favour the right eye when aiming this way, but not to such an extent that I am leaning. Its a very subtle turn of the head.
