  • getting into snooker

First off I think this is in the right place but not sure, I was after advice and also wondering how people really get into snooker, I'm interested and thinking of taking lessons once a week but find it a bit hard as none of my mates are really into snooker bar 1 of them but ideally id like to play different people, see what different styles of snooker people play and hopefully play people better than me so I can learn from them. So really I'm after peoples opinions of how to go about playing different people, getting into teams etc. Thanks

Join a local club, and sign up for the league. Clubs usually have 6 teams or thereabouts. Start in the lowest. Its a sure fire way of meeting other players and seeing how the game is played. Email Andrew Highfield (Wolverhampton - ex pro player and world snooker coach) and he will give you all the advice you need
