Thanks alot for everyone for their advice, its all noted down.
I've been working on my technique still, mainly cementing the forefinger grip and straighter bridge hand (i think i mentioned this before). As well as making sure i remain dead still. I equalled my highest long blue record AGAIN with 8/10, and AGAIN 6 out of 6 at one stage. I bottled it on the 7th!!
But i'll keep trying and i hope one day i'll be able to make 10/10.
As well as this, im also doing simple line ups to ingrain the technique into a variety of shots. It's hard, sometimes i find myself forgetting to glance down at the cue ball during my front pause.
I've naturally had a front pause, but never used to use it for its purpose till a few months ago. But i still sometimes forget to look down and make sure im addressing where i want.
Incidently, i'm playing a small summer league event in my local club, where most of the locals will play eachother once over 4 frames, and each frame that is won is one point. After 4 games i am currently on 8 points. It is handicapped and there are only 2 players that need to give me a start, so most of the time i am the one giving a start. There's only been two breaks over 30 at the moment (poor standard!) a 49 by the favourite, and a 38 by me in my last match.
But with all the regular match practice and hard work i am doing on my technique, i hope i can start to improve rapidly and gain some confidence i've never had before.
