  • upper body movement

    Hi guys,
I was wondering what could be the cause for my upper body movement on my final
back swing ? Recently friend of mine took vedio of me while playing and i could not
belive that i was just lifting my upper body including my head on the final takeaway,
when iam feathering my body and head are on the cue but on the final back wing
it is going up a little.
how can i prevent this ?
    Many thanks.

Post the video here, we'll see what we can see.. It could be caused by the length of the final back swing. It is probably longer than your feathers. So, when it goes back further, you lift your body. It could be a habit you have. Or it could be mechanical, i.e. your arm/elbow are forcing the body to rise. Which may be caused by where you grip the cue, or because you do not drop your elbow at all .. most players when using a very long back swing will drop the elbow slightly, to keep the cue level.

Loosen the grip more and drop the elbow during the backswing. But post the video here so we can see it
