I'm hoping someone here might be able to help out.

I've noticed with both myself and a lot of my students the 360 Training Cue is showing most of us are closing the grip hand too early and too tight during the delivery. I've recorded this on video but my Sony digital video camera only records at 30 frames per second (fps) and of course the grip is very blurry once it starts acceleration.

Does anybody know of any video camera which can record at 120fps which is reasonably priced? I've checked eBay but nothing there except industrial models which have speeds up to 1Mfps and I certainly don't need that as I don't want to watch a bullet or an artillery shell being fired in slow motion!

I've found a sports video camera here called the GoPro which has their latest version going up to 120fps and the cost is $350(CAN) or around 200pounds but it's designed to be helmet mounted or whatever but it certainly gives good quality video.

Any help would be appreciated, like maybe a used one somewhere?

For $350 I would snap that up! was looking at high speed camera higher recently of around 1000FPS and I was looking at £650 a day or 20K to purchase the camera and that was without a lens.

Are you using a standard definition camera? HD cameras here in the UK can do 50i (25fps) or 50p (50fps) which presumably over your side of the pond is 60i (30fps) or 60p (60fps) ...

Not quite the 120fps you are looking for but 60fps might be enough ... also, having said that, I've never actually tried my HD camera at 50fps so I don't know what the quality is like but I'd imagine it's good ...

You could take a look at the Nikon P300 or Casio EX-FH100

I've check out the Casio and Nikon but both are a lot more expensive than this GoPro newest model and I see they do have the option to have it on a tripod and the 120fps is what I think I need. Nic Barrow tried one at 100fps and said the clarity on the grip hand on delivery was pretty clear but at 60fps it was still a little blurry.

I think this closing the grip too early is a really common problem which happens to every player at one time or another and is something that I should be able to show my students so I think I'll have to order a GoPro.
