Coaching with a Pro

I've been in contact with Nigel Bond for some coaching but I'm having trouble getting to see him because of the distance........are there any other well know players that offer one to one coaching at a reasonable hourly rate more local to me.

I play at a club in Cheltenham called Pockets which is owned by Stephen Lee's manager. There is a guy who coaches up there who apparently was on the tour quite a few years ago and he is pretty handy. His name is Nick Pearce

I'm not overly familiar with the coaching scene in England so I'm afraid I can't help you further. I know of a couple of good coaches in Glasgow but that isn't much help to you. I'm not sure how close to you Coach Gavin is on here. Also, you can check the coach's locations on the WPBSA website to see if there's anyone close to you.

I would recommend though that if you haven't heard the name before that you ask around first to see how recommended the particular coach is and what his rate is. Most should be around 30GBP or less although the better known coaches can be up to 70GBP per hour and Terry Griffiths is up over 100GBP per hour but then again these higher priced coaches are really concentrating on teaching mostly pros
