Here we go again players driving themselves up the wall regarding the dominant eye subject !, my advice for what its worth is cue under the center of your chin and let your brain take care of the rest.

I've been pulling my hair out for 3 years with this.

I am right eye dominent and have had the cue at various positions between the rhs of my chin and across to the right eye and even further. Every time I make a change it works for a bit then doesn't anymore.

Recently put the cue under my chin and thought sod it I'll leave it there for a few weeks. Your brain adjusts (as Nic Barrow says in one video) and I then knocked an 86 in when my highest break was 73 (I know that doesn't prove it but it certainly wasn't worse).

I've left it there since to see and when my rythm is right (which I'm working on) it's fine so I'd go with the brain does it's recalculation.

Yep I did the same thing ! I think some players sort of dream up obstacles, good bridge hand, cue on center of your chin, cue contacting chest, grip hand not to tight thumb down, then practice ! practice ! practice !.

When you don't think about it, it just comes naturally. I had actually been playing for a very long time without even realizing I was left eye dominant and was cueing a little to the left of my chin until someone asked me why I do that lol. I was shocked hahaha. Anyway same stance, just find the line of the shot, bring the cue onto that line and drop straight down. You head will naturally drop to the right position

I guess for me I try and get into two states with this, the training mode where you practice a routine and the match mode where you are 100% on the shot (and you accept the training mode is slowly ground in when practicing).

We all do it different but if you can't lose the training mode then you can't be 100% on the shot. With the dominent eye or the middle of the chin, you have to trust it or you will always have doubt (I know, I've been there!!).
