Hi there, i used to get coached off Chris Small back in 2006 for a couple of years over in edinburgh at the new yorker snooker club on his own table which is no longer there. He is a great guy and i went to his testimonial evening which was a great night and got to mingle with alot of the top players.Due to work and family commitments etc i could no longer manage the 40 min drive and time aside for coaching every week so had to stop, i have not spoken to chris for a good few years now and no longer have his number. I was just wondering if anyone knows if he is still coaching in edinburgh( was at bonnyriggg last i heard)and how he is getting on, many thanks craig

Hi Craig. My mate tried to contact Chris a couple of years ago on his mobile. Left a message and never got a reply. I'd heard he wasn't well at the time so that was probably the reason. There's a couple of guys on this Forum who know Chris so maybe they'll see your post and reply with some information. If you need some coaching in Edinburgh then there's Craig MacGillivray at the Locarno club in Slateford. Craig is an ex-pro and the current Scottish Amateur Champion.

Yeah he won the lg cup in 2002 his only ranking win but had to beat O'sullivan n Higgins to get to final where he beat Mcmanus 9-5, great achievement as he was not 100% at the time! I had the pleasure of picking the balls out for chris on a couple of occasions when he was trying out my new cue and although he was retired at this point i could see why he got to the top of the game it was a treat to watch!" and for those of you who are watching in black and white, the pink is next to the green. Thought I would dig up this thread to give you all a little exclusive before tomorrow's official launch.
Chris came to me last Thursday and asked that I design him a website for his coaching so here we go - www.ChrisSmallSnookerCoaching.co.uk
There is loads of information yet to put on the site, we have a members area, video's, picture's, FREE coaching materials and within the next 6 months some premium content which I am sure you will find very helpful.Last edited by ferret; 5 April 2013, 12:28 AM.

It is unfortunate that people only remember the few games before he retired, speaking of which if anybody has any video of Chris playing please get in touch, no copyright issues as we have permission to use any video on his website if we can find any.
