  • Twist waist / hip / shoulder or just lean forward ??

I know this is not right and I really feel happier in aligning elbow exact behind the head than potting balls and making breaks...

I used to twist the waist a lot and bring shoulder onto the line..

I found i am stance more stable / comfortable with just rotating the shoulder (keep the waist still), bend my left leg and lean forward.

Keep the left shoulder and arm as relaxed and low as possible..

Anything missing here?? Should i turn my waist?? The elbow is between my nose and right eye... but i really feel this is the right approach...

One final silly question... is this related to the length of the neck?? I am the "no neck" guy and fds make joke that my neck is too short to wear a necklace.. look in the mirror everything cool. And i think to myself if my neck longer by a couple of inches i will be perfectly alinged...

As long as you're delivering the cue straight down the line of aim, consistently, then I wouldn't change anything.

One other point regarding twisting of the hips. They only really need to be twisted enough so the back of the grip hand will clear the hip/trouser pocket by 2-3inches.

If your are keeping the left armpit down as far as you comfortable can that should be raising the right shoulder up and behind the head and also over the cue. This puts everything in line and there's no need to be coordinating things to keep the cue straight. See if you can find a head-on action shot of Steve Davis or Hendry in their prime and you'll see what I mean. If you're a lefty then look for Neil Robertson.
