Caz i have watched your video with Dell , and i understand(i think) what you are on about, as he makes it a very deliberate action, cue online before everything else falls into place, and i agree it looks to inhibit a free flowing natural game(at least until you perfect it ), Nic Bs videos show the hands, cue and nose all online as you are standing and its all kept there as you drop down and its a lot more flowing movement,(although its just 2 ways to achieve the same thing) i agree all things are not for everyone, and if it works great if it doesnt suit anyone also fine, i tried to do it the Dell way but kept adjusting on the way down, it didnt agree with me at all.
As for the Joe Davis and Steve Davis style, i didnt know that, and if its good enough for them its good enough for me lol
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!

when a coach is showing you new things and setting you up you can come across as stiff and unnatural this is to be expected. But as you can see from my other vid's that I'm quite a fluent player, I could never bring anything into my set up that slowed me down or made me look like I was trying to hard. I love the game but would never surrender my Principles in order to improve. I would rather give it up, this is the beauty of being a club player and not a pro lol.

Had my best session in ages on Sunday, I kept faith with the adjustments made from the video feedback, but although I was playing well in patches I was still missing a lot of simple balls. So with the shoulder tucked in I went back to the del hill drive and I just went potting mad. My practice partner said it's the best he has ever seen me play and the heaviest I've ever scored against him. I tried these things before but abandon them as I kept missing simple shots. But I notice that a lot of the shots I was missing were the softer shots, I think what I've been doing is relaxing on the final delivery and this was causing me to move off line. So after watching JH On TV the other day and seeing how much effort he puts into staying rock sold on each shot I try to bring this into my game a it all fell into place. I was winning games in two visits something I haven't done for a long time, the aim is to do it in one. It could just be one of those purple patch's we all get, but I very much doubt it. will keep you posted.

great news that Caz, that relaxing comment might just have solved one of my biggest bug bears, the easy soft miss, when you described it i automatically said "thats what i do" i will try and be rock still.
I wonder if the good patches we all have are when we concentrate on technique, get it right, and it sticks for a while, then being human it gradually slips and our form goes, without knowing the faults have crept back in, then we concentrate again and the "form wave" of peaks and troughs starts all over again.
On the earlier post about cue online, i understand what you mean about Ronnie not thinking about it, or any good player really, but at my standard i have to go through a set routine, then when i miss i can have a guess at what part i did wrong,(you cant compare my struggles with someone at your standard) but i do try to keep it relaxed as cueing straight isnt second nature to me(probably never will be now)
Christmas coming and at the top of your game, a perfect combination lol
