Hello. Just wanted to know how women on here get round the problem of the grip finishing at the chest. Been speaking to different coaches and they all say different things. so I thought I would ask the ladies on here. Due to the obvious difficulty of having a physical obstruction like big breasts do the ladies on here tend to go under them or find it easier to stop before the chest or maybe another way?

Gavin:
I normally attempt to get a student (haven't had a woman student in years) to run the cue about 2"-3" to the right of the right nipple (in a right-hander of course) and unless a woman had very large breasts this should get the cue running to the side and shouldn't be a problem.
I guess the other consideration is when driving the hand into the chest the sie of the breast might impede the amount of follow-through a woman could get in comparison but I think we're only talking 1/4" to 1/2" so no big deal there either.
As I said, I can't prove this one as I have no woman students but I will likely be watching some of the great woman players when I'm at the Worlds so I will see what is happening with them
