  • a poorly expalined question but can you help?..

i will try explain this the best i can so here goes....

i noticed last night that when i am stretching for a pink off the spot with the white off straight towards the middle of the table, the kind of shot where you have to get a leg up on the table...... i seem to feel alot more solid in my stance, very rigid and seem to cue perfectly straight and get the pot 99% of the time.

it feels alot more comfortable than my regular stance where i have normal access to a shot. i can sometimes feel myself swaying and feel a lot more loose.

is there anything i can take from this to tighten my regular stance up? my first thought is the straightness off my bridging arm, its a lot straighter on the stretching shots? or maybe the more cue contact with my chest?

can anyone shed any light on this?

Think you are right about the bridge arm. Probably straighter and the body position when stretching is maybe more rigid.

Come to think of it, I do have a similar thing. I feel quite comfortable and more stable when half my body is on the table to take a blue to the corner. I sight better and don't feel like I can miss.

Got to put a mental note to get that feel into my normal shots.

that must be the same for everyone, given that while taking such a shot the body is solid and there arent any extra movements due to the solid base support- the challenge is to remain solid without such support on common shots
