  • Club Selection Confusion... need help!

Guys! This time I am asking something different and just need some feedback and inputs from you all out there. a couple of old snooker mates have opened a new snooker club and I went there last night on their invitation. Now I am in a fix as to which club should I carry on regularly with? I will put some cons and pros of both clubs hereunder, so suggestions awaited.

    CURRENT CLUB
Its almost always crowded and is full of noise. There are five tables but only one of my desire with good running good new cloth and extremely and challenging tight pockets (love to play on that) the rest of the tables... hmm I never play on any other table.. cheaper rates.. atmosphere not that good at all.. 4-5 play mates .. but mostly i have to play matches with little or no practice time available due to the over-crowding. Located nearer to my place (10 mins drive).

    NEW CLUB
Owner and manager are my friends. Five new tables with nice Riley imported cloth smooth running but but but easy and comparatively bigger pockets and one can easily pot (a huge turn down for me). Crowded yes but controlled crowd. Noise no not really but they normally play loud songs on speakers all the time (I hate that .. almost like in a dance club). 5-7 playmates I can play on any of the five tables all are equally good.. extremely nice atmosphere in terms of decor and gentry... practice time available.. a little higher rates and a little further from my place 20 mins drive.

What do you guys suggest... In mind and knowing me I would love to go to the new club for all of the good things about it as I mentioned drive time and rates are OK somehow fine I can compromise .... but the only turn down is slightly bigger pockets honestly and nothing else... Am I thinking naive? What to do? help..suggest please...!!!

for me paying more and travelling to a club that club needs to have something about it such as. up and coming players and a club pro to play so you get challenging practice. professional or top club tables, your mates club doesnt sound like it meets any of these requirments which i perosnally look for. I would stick with your local or talk to your mates and see if they can get the pockets sorted.
