My dad plays with a kamui and can only get the blue chalk to stick to it, also sticks to the white and winds me right up!
Can anyone recommend any other chalk? Seen some called predator on ebay, anyone tried it?No one is listening until you make a mistake!

In my experience english 8 ball players use the same as snooker players ( green triangle ) , although
not sure about light green and spruce ? green.
The exception is one guy in our club, who uses black chalk, and leaves the tables a right mess !!

The Silver cup spruce works well too but you do see it mark the cue ball more. Grey Silver cup is better for this.

The only difference between the different colours of Triangle chalk is the dye used. The blue and spruce dyes could make the chalk stickier, both to the tip and the cue ball which can result in more bad contacts, or maybe it's the same and the deeper colours just makes it more noticeable.
I myself use green Master chalk with an Elkmaster tip, they go together as they are made by the same company for my logic dictates to me that they wouldn't make two products that are incompatible hence forcing half their customers to buy their tips or chalk elsewhere.

In theory youd think a black ferrel, black tip and black chalk would be the answer to good sighting against a white cue ball. Guess it would make a terrible mess to the cueball and baize tho.
Guess this is why green is the most popular.
Would professional players be banned from using black chalk in a tournaments due to the cue ball possibly need cleaning after every shot?"When everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it." - Henry Ford

Master green or tan work great with them.
