    Interesting to watch,

Nic called me about this yesterday on his way back home in the car, I told him to do this about 18 months ago, I knew it was a good idea and actually turned out better than I had expected.

Great to watch . . . he does make it look easy.

I need to practice more +++

He does keep his head still.

          : )
My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
          I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

That was fascinating. Everyone knows you're supposed to stay down on the shot until all the balls come to a stop but this video really drives home how consistent and disciplined good players are.
Oh, and that's a bad miss.

They should make the pros wear that at the worlds. Would be fantastic!

It would be great, but some of them get annoyed about having to wear bowties so imagine the response to being asked to wear one of these haha

Hard to argue with his cueing but If you were to be over critical, I suppose you could add that perhaps an address pause would benefit as he seems to start feathering before he is settled on shot.

Would've also been nice to see a wider range of shots as opposed to the very simply roll-ins and small screw/stuns. Was only when he got to the final black did we see forced angles (pink to black), long screws (green), rest shots (yellow, albeit wanting to avoid this at all times). Of course only the stupid person takes the more difficult shot when position is esily obtainable from a simple roll in or stun; but there was many occasions when the black could've been taken instead of the roll in middle pink which would've shown little stuns off the cush with side etc.

Nevertheless, good clearance, nice cueing and a fantastic angle to see the game played in - the future of the televised game perhaps (we can only hope). I always enjoyed watching the side camera when it was in operation but they seem to have stopped using that now and we are left with only that mundane black end camera shot and relying on the commentator to use hawkeye to visualise angles.

Yeah never quite understood the old-age etiquette of wearing bow ties. I know in some tournaments this has been an apparent. I'd be happy if they wore jeans and polos (where they could still have stitched advertising logos). Its the game I want to watch, not the dress code.

i agree to some extent about playing different shots, but in this instance he was playing the simpler shot to carry on a break, its a good tip for all the newbies out there. keep it easy keep it consistant

I can not believe how still his head is when he drops down on to the shot there is no lateral movement at all. If it were possible i would love to see footage like this coupled with an eye tracking device this would show the whole shot making process

I would like to know who the player is too.

I have a HERO2 sports camera here and I've been thinking about doing this as I know I have some head movement and this view would definitely tell me where in the backswing or delivery it is. If I ever get my thumb out of you know where I'll try and post a video up perhaps to show how it SHOULDN'T be done.

I was really impressed with two things, the first is the complete lack of head movement but also how he stood behind the shot and dropped his head straight down. For those who keep insisting they don't feel comfortable with their chosen line of aim this is a perfect example of how to do it right.
