I'd put money down to say Judd could do it on that table past the blue and nearer the bulk line with the tournament balls. He might need a 15min warmup

If we get a good spring and summer this year then maybe our club tables will play half as good as the pros tables and I can get back to playing some decent snooker again. The conditions this last year have been a real trial purely because of the cold and wet weather.

I think for the original question all the answers on here are accurate, but I will repeat them:

      1. With only a high break of 30 you should forget about trying to use deep screw with power.
      2. On a club table a 10ft deep screw shot even by Judd Trump might come back 4ft, if that, and with a house cue even with a good tip we're probably looking at 3ft max.
      3. If you really want to try and accomplish this then I have a couple of suggestions. First of all start out small with the brown or pink on spot and try screwing back and then increase the distance between the two balls. Secondly, you must ensure you are hitting the bottom of the cueball by lowering the bridge NOT RAISING THE BUTT.
      4. Last but by now means the least, in order to accomplish ANY screw shot well you must learn how to control a long backswing and keep it straight and also how to accelerate THROUGH the cueball without gripping the cue tighter.

        vmax:

Buy yourself a small de-humidifier and take it to the club with you and plug it in near your table (if the owner doesn't object to you using a lot of his electricity). Unfortunately, this will only work if you are in a smaller room.

I guess last but not least...where do players ever get the ideal that they can get on a snooker table and after a bit of practice perform shots just like the pros.

Here is a fact for all the players who think they can play a shot like Judd Trump. Judd started playing snooker when he was 4 years old on a small table at home. He became a pro somewhere around 20yrs of age. Let's say he could accurately perform those deep screw shots by the age of 16 so that would have been TWELVE YEARS OF PRACTICE.

In addition you would also need a new #10 cloth or Hainsworth Match or Precision cloth that was new too.
