  • the stance

if i'm not mistaken , the correct stance should be 1 is in the line of shot and 1 should be bent.

my problem is: i am a right handed, but a left-footed.so which one should be in line with the shot and which one shud be bent ?

I'm only a newbie but as I understand it you should walk into the shot with your right leg on the line of aim and then your left leg should be bent and placed to the left and in front of your right leg.

Having said this I started to make sure I do this and get my hip out of the way for my cuing arm as I understand your right fingers when holding the cue should be above the laces on your right foot. I can definitely feel the strain on the back of my right knee.

iNko is correct. To take the strain off the right knee and ankle, turn the foot out a few degrees until you remove the strain.

          shazneo:

I thought we were talking about the straight leg, in your case the right foot? However, you should actually turn out both feet to relieve the strain on the knee joints and ankles.

But some players prefer to have both feet pointing along the line of the shot (right foot) with the left parallel to the line of the shot. I don't happen to agree with this as it will eventually lead to strain on the joints plus it's not as stable as when you turn the feet out a bit, maybe 20-30 degrees max.
