Wouldn't mind seeing a coach but cost is an issue at the mo. I'll get a vid up later with some other shots on it, been recording a few times as of the last lot of months. The follow through is a bit over the top, dunno why I go through that much but it seems natural to me to go through that amount.

I think it encourages going right through the white, prevents you stopping on the shot etc. But the risk is the movement it introduces and when it introduces it - i.e. too early would be a major problem. You're accelerating the cue well past the contact point with the white, perhaps you could take your foot off the gas when you 'feel' the contact and that might feel natural still?

        narl:

I agree with most of the other comments. For my comment, I would look closely at altering your grip to be a bit more orthodox and only drive the hand through to the chest although you should drop the elbow a bit to keep the cue as level as possible.

Nothing totally wrong with your very long follow-through but as has been said it may tend to introduce some upper body movement.

        1. Get a better camera as the video is too fuzzy.
        2. You should speed up that table as much as you can, it's very slow and will effect your game.
        3. Cut down on the feathers a bit and perhaps speed up a bit (if you can without disturbing your rhythm).
        4. Stop the upper body movement, especially there when you play with a little power.

        Lastly, get a haircut!

I would not worry narl potters like you always have the most enjoyable game, you look like your having fun and its good to watch!
I only got coaching because every time I went to the table I had a vision/pattern in my mind of what I wanted to do and my technique could not stand up to my demands. Plus I wanted a very competitive game.
