Keep at it and it will become natural.

      j6uk:

I use the nose since it is in the middle of the two eyes. I could say keep your 'preferred' eye on the line of aim but I've found players do this naturally and the nose gives them a great reference point when trying to get the head centered on the line of aim.

Another update. Went down again today and played best ive played in months if not years. Had to 20 odds in one frame, was potting very consistently, but more importantly I made a 40 break with all blacks, and the black being tbe only colour I cud play for

See, sometimes coaches know what we're talking about. Stick with it and don't experiment

Iv had many coaches and not one of them had the audacity to call themselves a master coach

The truth is Nic Barrow has a lot of really good technique info for any player wishing to improve (however I must admit I am a Master Coach and Examiner under his system and do sell his products from time to time).

It's not 'audacity' (or are you just being sarcastic?).

I am a certified Master Coach and Examiner (which means I can certify Master Coaches world-wide and I've done 5 of them from Malaysia, Pakistan and Canada) under the IBSF and SnookerGym coach training system, a certified Senior Coach under the Terry Griffiths Matchroom system which means I'm an EBSA certified Senior Coach. My Master Coach certification is also recognized by the WPBSA.

Perhaps you should consider seeing a Master Coach as there are a few in England and Nic Barrow is in Milton Keynes, but not sure if there are any in SW London.

This is why punctuation is important "Master Coach" does not mean the same thing as "master coach". The former is clearly a name/title, the latter a description.

In all honesty I couldnt tell you. Wasnt even thinking about which eye. All I was thinking of during shot was make sure I line shot up so nose on the line, make sure my left foot goes on the line of aim and my nose and head comes down directly straight. Also just making sure grip stayed loose throughtout whole stroke and keeping my shoulder as still as I could

What impressed me the most is that it is not just practice its working but also in frames at the minute where I normally find coaching never paid off

This explains why you got all this free time Ask HQ, they should put a full size in the office, push the useless computers aside, then you could get down to some proper work!
