  • Chris Small Coaching

Hi forum members, i recently decided to have a days coaching after a few seasons struggling with my game. I wasnt sure what coach to seek out but after some advice i chose chris small from edinburgh.
I had only seen chris on tv as a pro a few years back, and he is as much commited to his coaching as he was when playing.
From my original enquiry chris was very attentive, with a questionnaire of what i hoped to get out of the coaching, what i felt was holding me back etc.
When we finally met up chris had detailed paperwork of all areas of the game, and got me to highlight areas i was concerned about. Within ten mins of me performing the line up chris had spotted 2 technical areas that i could work on during the coarse of the day.
During our day we covered nearly all aspects of the game, even though the day seemed to fly in.
Chris was a superb coach with a fantastic knowledge of the game and its components, and it was great to pick the brains of someone who beaten all the top players in the world at some time or another and who won the LG
    trophy.
On reflection i have already seen a return to a good level of snooker already, and can only advise anybody looking some coaching, not only is chris a top drawer coach, but a top bloke, and i wish him well for the future.

With a player of your level it might be helpful for some of the member if you described the technical faults and what Chris did to correct them. I think quite a few people might benefit from that.

      hi sean,

it was a pleasure to coach you mate and you put in alot of effort and concentration throughout the day, which i love to see in a player. If you put in a lot of hard work in the future there is no reason why you cannot get back to the form that you showed from years ago. You have a good solid base to work from and just keep in mind what i told you and you should see a good improvement in your form. All the best and thanks for the nice comments.

Good write up Manu, totally agree with you about Chris, although we are at different ends of the spectrum as to our standard of play, it's good to see he can relate to good and bad players.
This is how you play darts ,MVG two nines in the same match!
