  • I would say:

    1. Think only positive thoughts (i.e. - 'what will happen WHEN I MAKE THIS POT, rather than what will happen IF I miss this pot'.
    2. Keep your head down.
    3. Drive through AND BEYOND the cueball. (Imagine hitting the object ball with your tip).

    • Congratulations to Dylan and well done to you as you obviously played a major part .

      I would say

1 Stick to the same pre shot routine on every shot .
2 Find the exact contact point on ob and use the middle of the body to line up to exactly that point .
3 Front pause and stay down on the shot until the ball hits the pocket .

      • That's fantastic Chris , chuffed to bits, for the lad
1,Pre shot routine 2 stay still until ball is in the bag,3 eyes fixed on contact point of ob on the rear pause.
I would also like a youngster to get my hours if I win, as I believe the children are our future, teach them well and let them lead the way, lol.

        • After thinking on this for awhile I came to the conclusion young Dylan probably has mastered any technique items and in order to win he has to focus more on the mental side of a match. So I would like to change my 3 things to:

          1. Believe in yourself and your abilities.
          2. Think only positive thoughts.
          3. Imagine yourself as a winner of the match and tournament. Picture you kissing the trophy.

              I'd say:

              1. Loose grip
              2. Front pause
              3. Slow pullback

Not really taking part, just thought it fun to guess...

              • 1) Relax and breath normally.
                2) Concentrate on technique.
                3) Have confidence in your abilities.

                • 1, remember pre shot aiming, do it properly.
2, remember the front and first pause on going down.
3, play the table, not the player.

If I win ( slim i know ) someone can have the tuition hours off me, too far for me travel, guys...

                          • Well done Hotpot. Enjoy!

Please let the forum know how it went.

My favourite players: Walter Lindrum (AUS), Neil Robertson (AUS), Eddie Charlton (AUS), Robby Foldvari (AUS), Vinnie Calabrese (AUS), Jimmy White, Stephen Hendry, Alex Higgins, Ronnie O'Sullivan, Dominic Dale and Barry Hawkins.
                            I dream of a 147 (but would be happy with a 100)

                            • I'm not a bad looser and I am not bothered about not wining the "A day with Chris Small" competition.

I'm just hoping do better in the "A night with kim kardashian" competition when that starts.
