Are you aware of the reason for this, and could it be cured by an optician ?
I find the clarity of my vision also fluctuates from day to day and hour to hour but I've recently started to wear snooker glasses instead of contact lenses and it's much better.

      .
i play terrible the first 10-15 minutes, however i don't think its sight related. even in solo practice i need to get my arm going my stance comefortable ..etc.
i'm no spring chicken anymore so the joints need to be oiled and lubricated for a bit before they are moving freely

      • Vmax three or four years ago I went to the opticians and my eyes were perfect, but I know I need glasses now, I keep pinching my mrs specs to read, then getting earache off her because I have stretched them lol, I am blind as a bat now,it's amazing how I have got to the standard I have as most of it's guesswork, I get about an hour, where I can see,and switching my eyes between cue ball and ob,doesn't help with the focus either , then it's all too much for my eyes and they go fuzzy again, but as long as I get online I can kind of get away with it a bit(this was part of my confusion over needing to see the contact point, during the discussion you and Pottr had about it, as I rarely can see it clearly, ) but I wish I could see better for longer periods, but it's old age, what can you do. I think a trip to the opticians is needed.
Alabadi, I can go in and pot long blues straight off, even though I genuinely can't see them, it's when I start thinking about things that it all goes pear shaped for me, if I can just get down online get that cue back straight and just let it go , with only the thought of cueing straight down the line in my mind, that's when everything works.
Nah I must get more than an hour before my eyes go fuzzy again, I think I was wrong there , it has to be two or three, sometimes I don't realise they have gone fuzzy until I go to pay, then I can't even make out some of the coins in my hand.

Make an appointment with an optician today, you could have something more serious than just degrading eyesight due to old age, like Diabetes for example.

          • I've just had one of those health checks, like an mot at the docs, diabetes is one of the things they check for, did a pee test, and a blood test, otherwise I would have have got it investigated more, I'm at the age now(so the optician told me when I went, that the eye muscles get weaker and my eyesight will get worse,I had gone as I was getting headaches when reading, which I like to do a lot,but they said they were fine, not quite 20/20 but for my age at the time as good as could be expected, of not slightly better, although he did say to expect this to happen, I was talking with the mrs about it and she informed me it was mearly seven years ago I went to the opticians, where does the time go? When I was at the opticians I asked about contact lenses but he said , what amounted to,they didn't work for old age lol, so it will be specs for me, maybe just readers, as if I wear them while reading my eyes won't be as tired when I go to snooker, if not it could be a pair of Dennis Taylor's for me, I will probably have to relearn the game once I can see the ball I'm trying to hit lol.
