Ronnie's Setup - Right handed/Left handed

    Yeah I can pot balls with my opposite hand (simple shots). However, I wouldn't try and do the same things with my left hand as I do with my right, I just got reasonably good at it.

    And this is exactly my point. IF there was a textbook way of doing it, when Ronnie decided to get good with his left hand, he would have held the cue in the same way as he does with his right, surely?

    But he doesn't. He just practiced a lot and got good at it. So good, that he can make centuries.

    So, the overall point I was really getting at, is that it isn't vitally important just exactly how you hold the cue etc, but just enormous amounts of practice.

    I mean, why am I not even better at playing with my opposite hand.....? A MAJOR factor would be that I probably play 1 or 2 shots a month left handed.

      I actually opt for playing left handed over using a rest for certain shots. For example if the cue ball is very close to the object ball or when its close to the side rails
