    I don't think questioning technical issues of the greats in the heat of battle is a good example. In practice, with most players, there's fractional tweaking going on from time to time and, why not, considering they practice 'no miss snooker' for hours on end.

    I agree with a lot of the cue makers when it comes to cue length. Anything over 59" is too long. I'm 6'4 and Iv played some of my best stuff with 57/56.5" cues and all the really good players that compete internationally I know who are 6' and over use between 57-59". Some have gone over, only to cut them down later.
    The basics are so crucial to get under the belt, to really excel at this game. If you comb through tsf you can find some real helpful stuff. Oh, and getting a good coach of course would help
