Hi. I was down the pub today and recorded a video of my stance and cue action. It's not a very good video but I was wondering If anyone would check it out and give me some pointers? Thanks.

Here is a link to a video of me going through a potting routine on a pool table. Any advice to improve my technique would be appreciated. Thanks.

You look good. What now with your ability, any aspirations?

Kind of a Mark King, Ricky Walden Peter Ebdon bendy leg stance you got going on.

It actually does not matter to much how you stand as long as you keep still and can cue straight and parallel through the ball which you do. I actually think your technique and action is pretty good a little fast but you where playing pool and do look quite fluent so perhaps you suit this rhythm but i would say if I could pick a fault then I would say you need to put some effort into shot selection and positioning before you get down perhaps but this will come with experience. My advice is get on the full size snooker snooker table for 12 hours a day 7 days a week for 5 years and if nothing happens take up golf.

no time for that if he is serious about making it he needs thousands of hours practice a drip feed and a pooper scooper.

To be a professional snooker play you probably need,

A bottomless pit of money a head coach to learn to help you take the positives out of getting beat every day for the rest of your life. a half dozen snooker coaches to tweak your game, then mess it up so bad you need to keep going until you finally find someone to put it right. On top of that he needs his own car, replicated playing conditions with a great table cloth and lighting, the right cue, great practice partners, positive people around him, nerves of steel and a temperament so cool he has to be checked for a pulse from time to time. It also follows if you are to be successful sadly it also perhaps helps to have masses amounts of ego centric determination, an extremely addictive personality, lots of luck and of finally - complete stupidity.

hahaha I'm not dreaming of being a pro. I'll just be happy with being the best I can with the time I have . I try to keep my back leg straight but I'm pretty tall so I must just bend it naturally. I'll keep trying to straighten it up though. As for the positioning I am still working on it

only two things I would say:
                            1. try to incorporate a little walk into the shot. I know often there is not much room around a pub pool table but try to get at least a half step. I am sure there are many threads about this aspect of the routine and it helps with consistency of stance and shot alignment.
                            2. Is the table you were on a bit slow? as your positioning got too close to the cushion for some shots unnecessarily from what I could see.

also I love the way you "twiddle" the chalk

When walking in should I put my left leg in front of my right? I find I naturally do this when trying to walk in see. The table is a decent table. I just have terrible positioning I will continue to 'twiddle' my chalk as it seems to amuse
