If you usually pivot from your elbow and lock it out, the only other pivot is your shoulder isn't it? Or am I being fed lies? :')

On the contrary, I think for the improving player putting 'pressure' on the cue from 'the so called grip' however slight up, down or sideways is, not a good idea.
Its only ever been chest to cue. If you did, for some reason, want to feel more of the cue on the chest that would come from the chest.

There is an art to it, that is perfected through hours and years of practice. The better you get the lighter and straighter everything feels

        Do you have a coach?
        Have you ever had coaching?
        Or just on tsf?

If i lived in the mainland UK i would have plenty of good coaches i could visit, over here in Northern Ireland don't believe there are many at all that tick the right boxes, Joe Swail apparently does a little bit of coaching in between his snooker schedule, i would consider seeing him no doubt to pick out my flaws...

I'll get a few videos uploaded in the near future, i don't think I've done too bad having had no coaching but your right, a decent coach would be the next chapter and hopefully guide me to improvement...

Just concentrate on not moving the head and make it your one sweet thought. Try to train yourself not to move before the CB comes to rest or the ob pots. If you are moving the head just that little tiny bit then most probably its anxiety or anxiousness. Try to stay calm, the calmer you are the the better for remaining still.

I remember years ago seeing a photo of a very young Steve Davis practising with his dad holding a cue over his head. Whether he whacked him with it I don't know but the technique must have worked because he has always been one of the best players for keeping his head still on the shot.

Mind you, the other pros used to get sick of his dad standing there in the middle of the match with a cue over Steve's head.
